🏆 Our Verdict

Mattermost earns a 4.4/5 Noizz editorial rating. It covers team chat, persistent channels, direct messages and searchable history for a working group, which is the part worth judging it on: conversation organised by channel, not by inbox, and searchable history for people who joined later. The trade-off to weigh is notification load grows with the team. It is a fit for teams replacing internal email threads with channels people can catch up on, and a poor fit for anyone whose requirement sits outside that shape.
