ProtonDrive for Enterprise: Compliance, Security, and Scale

ProtonDrive currently has a excellent privacy classification on Noizz. This means ProtonDrive demonstrates strong privacy practices with minimal data collection and clear policies.

Compliance is specific to your obligations, not a badge a product either has or lacks. Work out which regime you actually answer to first, then check whether ProtonDrive holds the certifications or agreements that regime requires and, just as importantly, whether they cover the plan you are on, assurances frequently apply only to higher tiers. Verify on the product's own trust or compliance page.

Single sign-on is what turns ProtonDrive from a tool individuals sign up for into one an organisation can actually administer: central accounts, central removal when someone leaves. Confirm whether it is supported and on which plan, since it is commonly reserved for higher tiers, and check that de-provisioning genuinely revokes access rather than merely hiding the login button.

Two questions separate a real uptime guarantee from a decorative one: what the vendor owes you when the target is missed, and whether the plan you are on is covered at all. Check both against ProtonDrive's published terms rather than its status page, since a service-level agreement is a contract clause and a status page is a dashboard, and on a freemium plan the remedy is frequently reserved for the tiers above yours. Where the wording is ambiguous, ask the vendor to confirm it in writing before you build anything that depends on it.

Rolling ProtonDrive out to a group behaves nothing like one person trying it. Decide up front who administers it, how access is granted and removed, and what happens to the work if the tool is dropped later. Pilot with a small team whose work genuinely exercises its encrypted-storage strengths before a wider rollout, so problems surface while they are still cheap.
