How we made this: This analysis is compiled by the Noizz Editorial team from Cloudflare's public documentation and pricing, hands-on evaluation, and aggregated community signals (member upvotes and comments) on Noizz. We revise it as the product changes.
Native Integrations
Every cloud-infrastructure tool eventually has to meet the rest of your stack, and for Cloudflare the meeting points are foreshadowed by its cdn and ddos-protection focus: that is where its connections are likely to be strongest, and where a gap would hurt the most. Prefer the connections it ships with over ones that need glue code in between, and take the list from its own integrations or docs page: an integration that exists in a diagram but not in the docs is not one you can build on.
Api
The API is where Cloudflare either becomes plumbing or stays an app, and the difference matters more in the cloud-infrastructure space than it first appears. Three things are worth reading in the documentation before you build anything against it: whether every capability the interface exposes is also reachable programmatically, how the vendor announces and versions breaking changes, and where the rate ceilings sit on the freemium plan you would actually be on, check the developer pages directly, because API terms are often published separately from the product's main pricing.

Event notifications are what let Cloudflare tell your systems something happened rather than being asked repeatedly. If it supports them, check the parts that matter when they fail: retries on error, whether payloads can be verified as genuine, and whether duplicate deliveries are possible, that last one causes more real bugs than missing events do.
Third Party
The connectors other people have built without being paid to are a more honest signal than anything on Cloudflare's own features page, because nobody keeps maintaining an integration with a tool that keeps breaking on them. Start with whatever touches its cdn or ddos-protection side, since that is where the community's own effort tends to cluster. A crowded directory full of stale, unmaintained plugins is not the same thing as a healthy ecosystem, so before you build anything real on a specific connector, open its own repository or listing page and check when it last shipped a change.

Compare on NoizzCustom
Every cloud-infrastructure product draws its own line between what it does natively and what you are expected to build yourself, and that line is worth finding before you commit rather than after you have written the code. A documented extension path, with its own reference and examples, is a promise the vendor intends to keep working through upgrades; a workaround discovered in a forum thread is not, and it is the kind of thing that breaks silently the next time Cloudflare ships a release. Check too whether the level of customization you need is gated behind a paid tier, since extension points are one of the more common places a freemium line gets drawn. Build the smallest real test of your actual use case before you commit further, and let its behavior under an update decide whether the path is genuinely supported.

What Users Say About Cloudflare
Cloudflare works well but keep the security tradeoff in mind before you commit.
Works as advertised. The edge network angle is the only asterisk I'd add.
Been using Cloudflare for a while — fine, with a caveat on edge network.
Solid product, mixed feelings about the cdn side of things.
Cloudflare does the job, though I turned off a few settings after reading about security.
Works as advertised. The cdn angle is the only asterisk I'd add.
